About Us

Williamsport lies along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. It is the county seat of Lycoming County, with a population of just under 30,000 people.

Williamsport was once known as the ‘Lumber Capital of the World,’ and those made wealthy by lumber built magnificent homes along Millionaire’s Row. Many have been expertly maintained or restored, and are used as bed and breakfasts, restaurants and museums. More recently, Williamsport is known worldwide as the home of Little League Baseball. Every August, thousands of people come to watch the Little League World Series.

Williamsport is home to Lycoming College, a 200-year-old private liberal arts college, and Pennsylvania College of Technology, a Penn State affiliate offering a wide range of degree programs. Culturally, the town offers a growing arts and music scene, and a first-class performance venue, the Community Arts Center, where Broadway shows, internationally known artists, and the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra are offered.

Williamsport has one professional baseball team, the Crosscutters, and a semi-pro football team, the Williamsport Wildcats.
