Fixing Your Photos with Photoshop

01:00 PM - 03:00 PM
Thomas T. Taber Museum at the Lycoming County Historical Society

The Lycoming County Genealogical Society's September speaker will be Wayne Palmer, owner of Palmer Multimedia Imaging, who will present "Fixing Your Photos with Photoshop". He will include examples from the recently published Photoshop Restoration & Retouching (4th edition), which he co-authored. Topics will include correcting color and exposure, fixing damage, and removing unwanted items from an image. The Sept. 22nd program will begin at 1 p.m. at the Thomas T. Taber Museum, Lycoming County Historical Society.

Wayne has been involved with some facet of photography for over 40 years, with an interest that began in college and passed through the marketing of photofinishing services on a national level, to the start-up of his own business in 1994, offering custom videographic and photographic services: the first in the area to offer digital photo restoration. He is a beta tester for Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements, Lightroom, Bridge and "a few other products a non-disclosure agreement keeps him from mentioning", and has served as a technical editor for 15 Photoshop titles, including two previous editions of his current book.  The editors of Popular Photography listed the 3rd edition, which Wayne also co-authored, as their top choice for learning Photoshop because of its “refreshing, grown-up approach”.  Wayne enjoys sharing his knowledge of photography, digital imaging and computers. He has taught Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and Digital Photography classes for Workforce Development at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
