Williamsport- The ghost of Prince Farrington may be lurking behind the bar of Farrington Place on Saturday, February 16, 2019 as CasinoEvil is held. CasinoEvil, a night of food, liquid spirits and gaming, is a fundraiser to benefit the Lycoming County Historical Society. It will be held from 6-10pm.
Farrington Place, located at 416 West Third Street, Williamsport, provides the perfect venue for a night as if the guest is transported back in time to a Prohibition Era Speakeasy. As such, period attire is welcome, but not necessary. Tickets are $60 per person, with a $10 discount for members of the Historical Society. The evening will host an open bar with liquor, beer and wine, as well as a popcorn bar, hors d’oeuvres, and prizes. A number of prize baskets filled with gift certificates, liquid refreshment, and other goodies will be available to the successful bidder.
The Thomas T. Taber Museum is the headquarters of the Lycoming County Historical Society. The Taber Museum is a non-profit entity, which must raise monies by membership subscriptions, writing and receiving grants, and fundraising efforts such as CasinoEvil.
Tickets are available at the Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society, 858 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, from members of the Board of Governors or through our website www.tabermuseum.org. The tickets are limited in number. The museum is open for ticket sales, Tuesday through Friday, 9:30am until 4:00pm and Saturday, 11:00am until 4:00pm.
