UPMC Susquehanna's The LifeCenter, a Registered Safe Sitter® Teaching Site, is offering Safe Sitter Essentials, a comprehensive babysitting training program that teaches life and safety skills to teens in grades 6 to 8. This one day class will be offered from 9:30 am to 4 pm on Tuesday, December 27 at The LifeCenter in the Williamsport Branch YMCA. Seating is very limited. Be prepared for many surprises and an exciting evening celebrating the holiday season as the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra performs its holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Community Arts Center. Famous mime, Dan Kamin, returns as the guest artist for this concert and will delight us with his fun-filled clown acts. The orchestra will accompany him with well known tunes including your favorite holiday songs. In addition, we will feature the young artist competition winner and a side-by-side performance with the symphony’s youth orchestra! A concert not to be missed!

A popular Lycoming College tradition, the Christmas Candlelight Service is a “Service of Lessons and Carols” where students, faculty, staff and members of the community come together to celebrate the holiday season.
The Lycoming County Historical Society & Thomas T. Taber Museum has planned a holiday treat: Santa Claus is Coming to Town… an exhibit of Santa Clauses, in all his various forms. This is a plea to members of the community to loan us their treasured Santas for an exhibit in the Community Room from Tuesday, December 6 through Saturday, January 7, 2017!
